LucasArts and BioWare prepare to announce joint project

It looks like those of you salivating for a Knights of the Old Republic MMO -- or anything related to Star Wars and made by BioWare -- may soon be able to salivate even more in anticipation of reality rather than dreams.  Well, that is if the pending announcement by LucasArts and BioWare about their joint project is really related to Star Wars.

EA CEO John Riccitielo let slip that the joint project is indeed an MMO earlier this year at E3, and it only makes sense for the two to work together on something related to Star Wars.  While many have been concerned with EA's influence in BioWare's development processes, it's clear by Warhammer Online's successful launch -- the second successfully launched MMO developed by Mythic Entertainment -- that EA is taking a very hands off approach in regards to their new studios.

With that in mind, what could go wrong with a jointly developed Star Wars MMO?  I guess we'll find out if it's Star Wars at all in a little over two weeks.  Hopefully it's not an Indiana Jones game, is all I can say.

They should make that a real game. lol. And yes, so long as SOE don't get there hands on it, it will be a great game, I just wish it had an extra singleplayer mode, for those who don't have good net 100% of the time.
